‘Ensuring their Voice: Tourism and Hospitality Employees and Current Industry Strategies'

This research project, which has been put together by Tara Duncan and David Scott from the Department of Tourism at the University of Otago aims to highlight the employee perspective on many of the workforce issues facing the tourism and hospitality industries in New Zealand.  The main objectives for this research are to investigate the expectations and perceptions of tourism and hospitality employees in the context of current industry and organisational workplace practices and to determine the extent to which short and long term local/national/international tourism and hospitality employees lifestyle and travel practices impact on employment choices and practices.
